The Monongalia County GOP is proud to announce our INAUGURAL Golf Scramble & Special Guests Meet-and-Greet on May 21–22 at Lakeview Resort and Kegler’s Clubhouse.


This is shaping up to be one of the biggest conservative events in North Central West Virginia this year — and team spots are LIMITED.

GRAND PRIZE:

  • Hit a hole-in-one on Hole 12 to win a new motorcycle courtesy of Triple S Harley-Davidson


SPECIAL GUESTS INCLUDE:

  • Burton Gilliam (“Lyle” from Blazing Saddles)

  • College & WVU Hall of Fame Coach Don Nehlen, immortalized in the WVU Hall of Fame

  • College & WVU Hall of Fame player Major Harris, whose jersey number has been retired

  • Additional special guests

THURSDAY NIGHT MEET & GREET

Enjoy an evening with fellow conservatives, community leaders, and special guests in a relaxed setting before Friday’s tournament. Attendees receive a complimentary autographed photo. Heavy appetizers and soft drinks included. Cash bar. Mulligans, raffle tickets, books, and more available for purchase.

The Lakeview Course will be played:

  1. No Tee Shot Mulligans permitted on Hole 12

  2. First valid Ace on Hole 12 wins the motorcycle

  3. Longest Drive Contest, played on Hole 7, is 564 yards downhill and offers the best opportunity for a dramatic long-drive

  4. Closest-to-the-Pin Contest, played on Hole 8, is a short 189-yard par 3 with a relatively direct approach shot

Drawing to be held June 9 at 7 PM at the next MCREC regular meeting. You can attend at VFW Post 9916 in Westover or watch the drawing live via Zoom. You DO NOT need to be present to win.
